For those of you who don’t know, the World BJJ Championships are held every year in Southern California and are the biggest and most important BJJ Championships in the…you guessed it, World, hence the World BJJ Championships. You will sometimes here the World BJJ Championships referred to as the Mundials, which is a mis-transliteration of the singular and plural of World in Portuguese. The word for World (in this sense) in Portuguese is Mundial, the plural is Mundiais. The American translation of World BJJ Championships is somewhere in between: Mundials.
If you are interested in competing in the World BJJ Championships and you’d like to train Jiu Jitsu in Santa Monica or train Jiu Jitsu in Los Angeles, come check out our top competition team at Robot Fight & Fitness- FREE 30 DAY Trial-

Greg: Gold!!!!!!!
Mechum: Silver
Henri: Tied for bronze!
Good job people!
It is with much excitement that Robot announces it’s new affiliation with Lotus Club Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Robot has much gratitude and respect for everything Wander Braga did for the team, but due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, Robot had to leave the Wander Affiliation.
After a lot of research, Robot decided to join Lotus Club BJJ, headed in CA by Giva Santana. Lotus Club has been a powerhouse in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for many years. Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Lotus has a strong presence in Southern California under the leadership of the famed Giva Santana. Among Giva’s many accomplishments as a Jiu Jitsu and MMA fighter, he won the Pan American Championships at black belt in 1999 and 2005. Furthermore, he has beaten the likes of Damian Maia and other Jiu Jitsu greats in various BJJ tournaments.
Giva will begin teaching an advanced BJJ class on every other Sunday beginning soon (most likely March 7th). Stay tuned for the actual schedule.
