ROBOT BELT CHANGE CEREMONY, Sat, August 1st, 1pm-4pm
Robot’s 1st Belt Change Ceremony will be Sat, August 1st, from 1pm-4pm. There will be a seminar and test with Tim that will include an individual assessment of each participant’s progress and his or her overall strengths and weaknesses. For specific requirements for your test, go to our Forum Page Blue Belt Test Requirements.
The fee for the seminar and belt change is $30. Please sign-up at Robot or send an email to david@robotbjj.com.
There is no guarantee that by participating you will be awarded a new belt (you gotta earn that!), but we can guarantee that you cannot get a new belt if you don’t come! In either case, all participants will benefit from their individual assessment and the seminar.
Cookout, Poolin, and UFC 100 with Team Robot! (Classes cancelled Sat and Sun)
We will be gathering Sat, July 11th, at Chris Smith’s house to cookout, swim and then watch UFC 100!!! The activities begin at about 4:00pm, so you should plan on leaving West LA by 3:30pm to get there by 4pm.
If you want a ride, please email me at david@robot.com (919.218.6422) so we can set up a carpool. Otherwise, you can just meet us out there.
Training will be cancelled Sat for the cookout and Sunday for the competition.
Please bring $5 to throw in for the Pay Per View, a bathing suit to get your swim on, and whatever else you’d like to bring. We will pick up some meat, etc!

South Bay Competition This Sunday! Sunday training cancelled.
This Sunday, July 12, a number of guys from Robot will be competing at the annual South Bay BJJ Open (in Torrance). The fights start at 11am, so come and check it out!!! We will not be here for Comp Team training on Sunday because of the competition.
